We adhere to the highest environmental and quality standards.

Mackay & Inglis Environmental Standards ImageOperational Standards

Mackay & Inglis operates a quality system to BS EN ISO 9002 standard. Maintaining quality runs through all parts of the production process and is based on:
– using work tickets with process instructions,
– signing of pass sheets at each operation,
– active roles for department supervisors,
– final quality check before despatch.
Preventative maintenance plays an important role, making sure that equipment is always in the best working order.

Environmental Standards

Mackay & Inglis holds  an FSC® certificate and we are working towards BS EN ISO 14001.
We achieved our accreditation (TT-COC-006018) in 2009 and can therefore assure our customers of sustainability and a ‘chain of custody’ with respect to the papers we use. (See the Forest Stewartship Council web site for more information.)
ISO 14001
This environmental management systems standard, in parallel with ISO 9002, focuses on the process (rather than the product) and aims to reduce the impact of our environmental aspects. (See the web site of the British Standards Institution for more information.)

The training of our workforce is a constant, allowing them to progress in their jobs and be up-to-date with new equipment, materials and processes. Our printers are HNC/HND level educated, have had FSC and on the job training and are generally multi skilled. The Department supervisors are specialists in their areas and have followed team leader training programmes. Support personnel is kept fully conversant with the IT systems (and upgrades) they use.
