New Website!

Mackay & Inglis are delighted to be launching their new website. The family run Print and Print Finishers based in Glasgow are well aware of the difference an effective web presence can have in showcasing the company’s products and services to new and existing clients.

Karen Taylor of MI, a key player behind the push to get the new site up and running told us. “It’s long overdue, our print capabilities have moved on in recent years but our web presence didn’t reflect this. Now we are better able to show the kind of work we do and the clients we work with”

Mackay and Inglis chose On The Spot Internet as their web developers who managed the project from start to finish, from initial project specification through design, build and SEO. Stefan Cent, MD at OTS Internet told us ‘We knew the existing web presence for MI wasn’t working so we sat down with them and got them to think of their site from a users point of view. Once we had identified the key users we are able to build a site that met their needs and help turn more web visitors into active sales leads”

Is Love All You Need?

You may recognise the name (Heinz) Edelmann as that of the art director for the animated Beatles film ‘Yellow submarine’, featuring their song ‘All you need is love’. For us the name implies Edelmann Printing Machines GmbH and at the end of March we took delivery of one of their specialised presses: a brand new Edelmann EVO Print V43 web press.

Within two weeks, the three colour press was assembled, tested and commissioned. German engineers brought two of our printers (who had already experience with our existing Edelmann presses) up to speed on the new machine.

One of the first jobs on the Edelmann press was an order for 1 million letterheads. With the paper reel running at more than 200 metres/minute, it produced 75,000 trimmed A4 sheets per hour. A very impressive printing machine and we love it.

At Mackay and Inglis we also love our customers (well, most of the time!) but we’re sure that’s not ‘all they need’ from us. Large volume, efficient production of quality letterheads and business forms is what they really, really want and this investment will improve further on our capacity to deliver just that.

For printing and print finishing: all you need is Mackay and Inglis!

Slim Jim

Look out for our new van!

Regular customers must have noticed recently that Neil Thomson, our van driver, has a spring in his step and a smile on his face. The effect a DEL Slim Jim tail lift can have!

This piece of kit is attached to our new Mercedes Sprinter van and is capable of lifting loads up to 500 kilogram. Deliveries have become much easier and quicker with the on-board pallet truck, making Neil’s job more efficient for you and pleasant for him.

The ‘Luton’ type box van has standing room inside and new livery outside: Our product list with as many print items as there are colours in the rainbow, our website URL and a larger than life magenta coloured Mackay & Inglis logo. You can’t miss it!

It even has ‘silgnI & yakcaM’ written on the bonnet so that you know, when you look in your mirror, that Mackay and Inglis is right behind you, for all your printing and print finishing, delivered with a Slim Jim!
